As we draw closer and closer to summer vacation, Woodward freshmen reflect on the year they’ve left behind them. We take a look at their favorite moments and their feelings toward sophomore year.

Naomi Fleming ‘26 claims that she is slightly eager to be a sophomore, but has her concerns for next year.

“I’m excited for my second year of high school,” Fleming said. “But my class list is a little harder so I have mixed feelings.”

However, despite her uncertainty about the future, Fleming noted that her freshman year was good and shared her favorite memories.

“I was really happy with how this year went,” Fleming said. “I really enjoyed Homecoming. Also I enjoyed Spring Fling.”

Fleming isn’t the only one who claims that Homecoming was the best part of the year. Riley Jones ‘26 had similar feelings.

“The best part of freshman year probably was Homecoming,” Jones said. “And I’m looking forward to it again.”
