Though back to the grind of school, it’s been mere weeks since we’ve gotten back from Winter Break. We all have interesting things we did over the break, and some students have shared what they did during the two weeks off from school.
Whit Schoeffler ‘26
“Over the break I went to New Zealand. I… went to the major cities and towns. I did a lot of hiking and exploring, in the, uh, forests and rainforests in the middle of the north island. I would highly recommend other people to go there.”
Jake Wray ‘26
“Well… at the start of the break, I went on a trip to Europe with my mom, grandma, and sister…. we started in Munich, which is Germany, and then we went to Vienna, Austria, and then we went to Prague, which is around the Czech area, and then we went back to Munich where I had, um, cousins and relatives living there…. we stayed there until around the 24th, and then we came back, so I could spend Christmas with my dad’s family, and other than doing a couple Christmases with my family, I didn’t really do too much over the break, but, yeah, the trip was fun. I saw a lot of cool stuff.”

“So I actually… took one of my best friends, Michael Wood, to, um, St. Pete, Florida. It was a whole lot of fun. We went there for New Year’s.”

“I had [gymnastics] practice and I stayed home.”

“I went to New York City.”

“Over the break I went down to Orlando, Florida to celebrate Christmas with my family.”

“Over winter break, I went with the… Woodward Academy marching band to Rome, Italy… we had two concerts and some churches, and then… we marched in the New Year’s Day Parade. It was attended by, like, 50,000 people. Um, it was pretty cool. We also went to Pompeii. It was a great trip and I had a good time… it was good to spend time with some other people in band.”

“I went out of town, I went to Florida with my friends and then I just came back and chilled.”
