It’s almost time to ditch your heavy winter coats and fuzzy hats for patterned t-shirts and stylish shorts because spring dreams are on the horizon! And there’s no better way to welcome the warm days of spring than with an exciting trip or fantastic plans of fun! Whether they plan for a trip to an exotic location or a staycation filled with relaxation, students are looking forward to a much-needed change of pace. So, what exactly are Woodward students doing for Spring Break?
Tania Doshi ‘27 is no stranger to unique destinations: she traveled to Bali this past holiday break. Tania shared her traveling plans for Spring Break.
“I’m going to Punta Cana with my friend, and it’s in the Dominican Republic,” Tania said. “I don’t know, [I’m looking forward to] just going to the beach and spending time with my friend — her name is Caroline.”
Like Tania, Jane Breslin ‘28 is also accustomed to traveling to countries far and wide — she’s even lived in Singapore! Jane and her family shares how they decided to have fun in the States.
“I’m going to Park City, Utah to go skiing, and I’m bringing my best friend,” Jane said. “I have never been to Park City before, and my best friend is Madeline Baumgard. She’s in ninth grade. [I’m most looking forward to] just bonding with my best friend. And also, there is a hot tub at the Airbnb that we’re staying at.”
Lexa Patel ‘27 shared that she will be pursuing both fun and educational activities in different locations during her much-needed time off.
“So, I’m going to Cancun with my mom for a few days, and then I’m going to Texas for college visits,” Lexa said. “I’ve been to Texas when I was younger, but I’ve never been to any part of Mexico before. [I’m also looking forward to] PDC (Pre-Debutante Cotillion). It’s a dance… like an invitational dance.”
Although students’ travel plans may differ, there is one thing everyone is excited to do: get out of these winter uniforms.
“I feel like we look more neat with the, um, winter uniforms, but I know that the other uniforms are more comfortable,” Lexa said.
