Woodweird x Silent Voices
This year, Silent Voices Literary Arts Magazine is taking over Woodweird, the quirky corner of the butterknife where students come to tell their stories with no obligation to the news. Look forward to pieces of all media and crossing media. And maybe, share a work of your own.
What is Silent Voices?
Silent Voices is the WA Upper School Literary Arts Magazine. We publish student work that has been the bread and butter of literary magazines: creative writing and visual arts. We also, though, through our collaboration with the butterknife, publish work that leaves the page: music, dance, video, spoken word, etc. All WA Upper School students are invited to be a part of Silent Voices by submitting their work for consideration.
What is Coffee House?
Coffee House is an open mic for students to perform or read creative work for their peers. In conjunction with Silent Voices, it hosts monthly sessions, some in an intimate classroom setting and others in more public venues. Students are invited to listen or sign up to participate.
