Ahead of them, seniors have their last month of school before they graduate from Woodward. However, this last month may not be as fun as everyone wants it to be.
Due to the seniors’ unruly and inappropriate behavior in the lunch lines in the cafeteria and in the senior lots, they will no longer be allowed to use the lines and park in the lots. The administration decided to teach the seniors a lesson the hard way.
“The seniors’ behavior in the lines is insulting to Woodward’s character,” Dean Underwool said. “Fighting for parking spots and yelling at other people in the seniors’ lots is absolutely unacceptable and immature behavior. This is not how I expect Woodward senior students to behave, especially at this time of year.”
With good reason, the seniors are outraged at the fact that senior lunch lines and the senior lot are banned during their last month before leaving campus permanently. Sarah Goodman ‘23 expresses her feelings about the matter at hand.
“I was looking forward to enjoying the last month of my senior year talking to my friends in the senior lot without dealing with junior and underclassmen and their bad parking jobs,” Goodman said.
Others felt annoyed at their fellow peers for ruining senior lines and the senior lot for their final month of what should have been their last chance to enjoy Woodward before their departure– especially since juniors can now go in the senior lines and park in the senior lots. Taylor Smith ‘23 feels upset about the sudden changes the administration made.
“I know that our behavior was not good, but I think they should have at least given us a sort of warning before resorting to such harsh and extreme methods of getting rid of our basic senior rights,” Smith said.
